Turkish Cuisine Promotion Days in Oman

Turkish Cuisine Promotion Days in Oman

Turkish Cuisine Promotion Days, held in Oman from 2 to 5 February, concluded with a strong and enthusiastic response. Tantuni, içli köfte, dried stuffed vegetables, mutancana, and other time-honoured Turkish dishes were served alongside products with geographical indications representing all seven regions. The presentations highlighted the richness, variety, and cultural depth of Turkish cuisine.

Following considerable interest from the Omani public and officials, an official request was made to hold a comprehensive Turkish Cuisine Festival in Oman in 2026—an outcome of great pride for the organisers.

Our work continues in line with the mission and vision of the National Cuisine Movement: to present Turkish cuisine accurately to the world, bring local values to international tables, and contribute to cultural diplomacy. As President Öner Çulfaz says, “A people’s future is written at the table. We will continue to introduce Turkish cuisine to the world not merely as food, but as our history, culture, and identity.”
