Protecting Our Cultural Heritage Means Protecting Our Future

During Turkish Coffee Week, I was pleased to meet distinguished guests at the 2nd Traditional Coffee Summit, organised by the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at ISUBÜ and its Gastronomy and Culinary Arts student society.
The event gave me an opportunity to discuss the historical and culinary value of Turkish coffee, one of the most deeply rooted elements of our cultural heritage, and to share the National Cuisine Movement’s vision, core objectives, and strategic importance for our country.
The National Cuisine Movement is more than a culinary initiative. It is a national commitment and development model dedicated to preserving Turkish culinary culture, giving it the place it deserves on the world stage, guiding young chefs, and supporting domestic production.
I thank all the academics, student groups, and guests who contributed to the event, and congratulate them for helping keep Turkish coffee culture alive. Protecting our cultural heritage means protecting our future. The National Cuisine Movement will continue its work with this conviction.
