The National Cuisine Movement Successfully Represents Turkish Cuisine in Tunisia

At an international gastronomy event in Tunisia attended by 25 countries, each delegation had an opportunity to present its culinary culture and traditional dishes. Representing the National Cuisine Movement, President Öner Çulfaz and young chef Kardelen Ayşe Keş introduced international guests to the rich heritage and distinctive flavours of Turkish cuisine.
Dishes reflecting Anatolia’s thousands of years of cultural heritage were warmly received. The deep history, sustainability, and cultural richness of Turkish cuisine were once again recognised on the world stage.
After the event, President Çulfaz said: “Turkish cuisine is far more than food; it is the strongest expression at the table of our history, culture, hospitality, and civilisation. We continue introducing Turkish cuisine around the world and presenting our local ingredients and culinary culture on international platforms. We were proud to represent our country among 25 nations in Tunisia. The achievements of our young chefs show that the future of Turkish cuisine is in good hands.”
“Our goal is not only to serve food, but to use Turkish cuisine as an instrument of cultural diplomacy and contribute to introducing our country. Wherever we go, we will continue sharing Anatolia’s abundance, Turkish hospitality, and the richness of our food culture. Turkish cuisine is among the world’s great cuisines, and we will keep working with determination to secure the international recognition it deserves.” The Movement will continue presenting Turkish cuisine worldwide and representing Türkiye at its best in gastronomy.
