Chef of the World 2026 Gastronomy Festival, Beijing

At the Chef of the World 2026 Gastronomy Festival in Beijing, which brought together 35 countries, Associate Professor Emrah Örgün represented Türkiye and the National Cuisine Movement. He successfully introduced the Chinese public to the distinctive flavours and deep-rooted culture of Turkish cuisine. Its richness, historical heritage, and unique tastes attracted great interest and earned high praise from Chinese guests.
National Cuisine Movement President Öner Çulfaz said: “Turkish cuisine is far more than food: it is the reflection at the table of our thousands of years of civilisation, culture, hospitality, and fellowship. The interest we have seen in Beijing has once again demonstrated the strength of Turkish cuisine on the world stage. I thank Associate Professor Emrah Örgün for representing our country so well. We will continue introducing Turkish cuisine across the world. Our aim is to bring the ancient flavours of Anatolia to all humanity and establish Turkish cuisine in the international position it deserves.”
The National Cuisine Movement will continue sharing the universal values of Turkish cuisine and representing our country as a strong voice for culinary diplomacy.
